MIKASA BACKGROUND



MIKASA X-RAY CO., LTD. was established in 1923 as a manufacturer of contrast media "Barium Sulphate".
In 1945, MIKASA changed its production to Mobile x-ray units & Portable x-ray units, and started selling them all over the world, including USA, and major European countries.
MIKASA's portable x-ray units were originally sold for medical purposes, but the usage of these products extended to veterinary and industrial fields.

Our American agent, MINXRAY INC. was established in Illinois, U.S.A. as our American agent in 1967.
DLC AUSTRALIA PTY.LTD.(Australia) and VETERINARY X-RAYS(U.K.) became the agents of Mikasa in 1976 and 1977 respectively.
GIERTH GMBH(Germany) became our new agent in 1986.

In 1992, Mikasa developed "100HF"portable x-ray unit using High frequency inverter system.
In 1993, with Mikasa's high technology, the best seller unit, "HF80"was launched into the market. HF80 series have been manufactured even now as our standard model.

In 2000, a lightest and smallest portable x-ray unit, "HF8015" was introduced. Mikasa has now established itself as a leading specialist producer of Portable X-ray Units in the world!

UL classification mark  ( model: MinXray HF70D dental x-ray unit )



We have received from UL the approval of UL classification mark for model HF70D dental x-ray unit. Our applied UL standard number is UL2601-1(Medical Electrical Equipment, Part1: General Requirements for safety) and the related IEC standards for X-ray unit. The UL 2601-1 is a newer standard in succession to UL 187.
